According to data provided by the Lagos State Government's Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, 75% of survivors of gender-based violence were aware of their partner's abusive behaviour prior to marriage. This was said by Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, during a meeting with the Association of Professional Wedding Engagement Coordinators of Nigeria, Lagos State.
