Dayo Amusa criticizes the judges for selecting Bobrisky as the event's "Best Dressed Female."

On Monday, March 25, 2024, Amusa posted on Instagram, clearly furious at the way things had gone the day before.

"Naturally, I don't do this but I felt the need to do this," she replied. "I attended a colleague's debut yesterday, and they said that the best-dressed person will be chosen, which makes me unhappy. There was one finest dressed male and one best dressed female. Please understand that while it might be anyone, she was not a transvestite.

Big Brother Naija alum Groovy won the male category, while Bobrisky took home the title in the female category with a long, dramatic, sequined gown and matching black lipstick. A monetary prize of ₦1 million was given to each of them.

Amusa charged that they were disrespecting all of the biological women present at the event after being shocked by the judge's decision at the premiere.

"What is the matter with us? How did we get to be like this? How the judges disregarded each and every woman who tried to attend that event is beyond me. Why did you dilute the efforts of every person present at the event by awarding the best-dressed female title to a transvestite, even if it was only 5 kobo that each person used to put their looks together? What is wrong with us? It's beyond my comprehension," she went on.

The actress admitted that she left the premiere after the Bobrisky was given away because she was so furious over the course of events.
Make a category just for the transvestite and offer them a prize if you think they should have one. Not that awarding the best-dressed female to a transvestite would be a sign of disrespect for all the men and women who attended that event. Are the judges in good standing? I had to leave the occasion," she said with a snarl.

In response to her post, Bobrisky wrote, "I love you regardless."
