Easter: 200 mobile courts for traffic offenders are being set up by the FRSC

Jonas Agwu, the corps public education officer, made a statement on Wednesday that included this information.
According to Agwu, the purpose of the mobile courts was to provide a hassle-free and secure Easter celebration in 2024.
He cited Dauda Biu, the Corps Marshal, as advising the commanding officers to guarantee complete staff deployment for optimal visibility.
Biu pleaded with them to make sure that impediments are removed as soon as possible from all national roadways.

He said that this was in keeping with the 2024 special patrol's operational requirements, which call for starting on March 29 and ending on April 2.

He claims that the special operations' goals are to lower the number of traffic-related fatalities, injuries, and wrecks. "Commanding Officers have been tasked by Dauda Ali Biu, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, to ensure full staff deployment for maximum visibility, timely removal of obstructions, and ease of movement on all national highways."

This is compliant with the rules for the Easter special patrol this year, which is set to take place from March 29 to April 2, 2024.

He stated, "As stated in the operation order, the objectives of the special operations are reduction of traffic-related fatalities, injuries, and crashes; timely response to victims of traffic-related incidents."

Agwu continued, saying, "In order to check various offenses, the corps would carry out aggressive enforcement, including conducting over 200 mobile courts operations."

"We would thoroughly check for lane indiscipline/route violations, speeding and dangerous driving/overtaking, road obstructions, using a phone while driving, and overloading."

The corps further stated that for the Easter special patrol around the nation, it sent out over 743 patrol cars, 184 administrative vehicles, and 92 ambulances.
