A 28-year-old guy from Ogun rapes his 5-year-old daughter.

The defendant was apprehended after the victim's mother filed a report at the divisional headquarters in Ijebu-Mushin. SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state's police public relations officer, made the announcement in a statement on Thursday.
According to Oyeyemi, the victim's mother noticed her daughter complaining of agony everytime she needed to urinate.
According to the PPRO, the mother also complained that her daughter groans whenever she bathes her and touches her private parts.

"When the victim's mother noticed this, she said she pressed the little girl to tell her what happened to her private part."

"It was then that the victim informed her that her father had laid her on the bed and inserted her manhood into her private part while her mother was not at home," Oyeyemi added.

"Upon receiving the complaint, the DPO Ijebu Mushin division, CSP Simire Hillary, swiftly detailed his detectives to go after the suspect, and he was eventually apprehended. "On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime but claimed not to know what comes over him as at that time."
According to the PPRO, "the Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Oladimeji, has ordered that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department's Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour section for further investigation and prosecution."
