Arsenal fans say ‘this is such a shame’ with top talent set to quit club in permanent transfer after eight years

Since joining eight years ago, the 19-year-old midfielder has advanced through the youth ranks. However, he is rumored to be leaving North London this summer in order to play first-team football.

This year, Patino has performed admirably while on loan at Blackpool, a Championship team.

The Athletic asserts that Arsenal would prefer to loan him out once more the following year since they do not believe he is yet ready to play for them.

Patino, however, finds this inconvenient because the club is willing to assist in his request for a transfer elsewhere.

There have been many people who had great hopes for the wonderkid as the midfielder of the future for Arsenal.

Fans are disturbed by the news; one expressed his disappointment by saying, "That is such a shame, I had great hopes for Charlie, but he cannot expect to go straight into our first-team, so it would be another loan, I think."

More people responded, "Wow, that's bad."

A third person commented, "I'm sure there will be a first option buy back."

Patino made his senior debut for Arsenal in a League Cup victory over Sunderland in December 2021.

He then made his first start in a FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest in January 2022.

Patino has played 36 times for Blackpool in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and assisting a further four.

He is not set to be the only academy product to leave the Gunners this summer amid rumours linking Folarin Balogun and Reiss Nelson with moves away.
