Despite the new Brighton deal, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea are still interested in signing Moises Caicedo this summer.

In the January transfer window, the Arsenal had proposals of £60 million and £70 million rejected by the Seagulls.
Caicedo, 21, then signed a fresh four-year contract extension with Brighton earlier this month, keeping him at the club until 2027.

The south coast club may also extend his £60,000-a-week contract for another 12 months.

Since joining from Independiente in 2021, he has two goals and three assists in 36 games.

Meanwhile, Arsenal sought elsewhere for a midfielder and settled on Jorginho from Chelsea.

Despite recruiting during the mid-season window and Caicedo signing a new contract, Football Insider understands the Gunners are still interested in the Ecuadorian international.

Manchester United and Chelsea are also rumored to be interested in the South American, who is still looking for a big move at the end of the season.

During the January transfer window, he demanded to go and resorted to social media to beg the club to let him go.

He has since deleted his Instagram account and changed his agent.
Caicedo is now said to be worth £90 million after Brighton enhanced their negotiating position by signing a new contract.
The Seagulls are known for demanding high transfer fees for their key players.

Arsenal is fully aware of this, having spent £50 million on Ben White and £27 million on Leandro Trossard.

Chelsea also paid £62 million for Marc Cucurella in the summer.

Likewise, Mikel Arteta's desire to strengthen his midfield options comes as he strives to make Arsenal a consistent title contender.

With 12 games remaining, the Gunners lead the Premier League table by five points.

They are outperforming expectations despite having only three regular midfield options in Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, and Jorginho.

Yet Xhaka's future remains uncertain as he approaches the last year of his current contract.
