The Federal Government's outstanding N1.3 trillion debt to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has nothing to do with the distribution of the government's dividend, the NNPCL stated on Thursday. The national oil firm stated in June of this year that it was anticipating a reimbursement from the Federation Account for money owed to it by the Federal Government totaling roughly N1.3 trillion. It revealed this right before the interagency committee that President Bola Tinubu formed to settle the ongoing debt dispute started meeting.
