Find the killers of my aide – Senator Adeola
Representative for Ogun West Senatorial District Solomon Adeola has responded to the murder of his aide Olaniyi Sanni on Saturday by unidentified gunmen.
In a statement, the senator's spokesperson, Kayode Odunaro, said that the late Sanni had contacted his wife while at a checkpoint in the Berger district of Lagos State to ask for a paperwork.
Odunaro claimed that Sanni, who had now gone into seclusion, was later discovered dead from gunshot wounds at a Toyota bus stop in the state's Oshodi region.
Adeola expressed his sorrow for the dead in a social media post on Monday, describing him as a committed assistant.
In addition to thanking Nigerians for their condolences, the congressman who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations requested that the killers be found.
When he arrived to the Senate for the national job of screening and confirming ministerial nominees, he wrote: "Sad and lamenting the death of a faithful aide.
Sens. Opeyemi Bamidele, Senate Leader, Sens. Tokunbo Abiru, Francis Fadahunsi, and Tony Nwoye all sent their sympathies, while ministerial nominee Festus Keyami SAN also expressed his thanks.
“I appreciate the outpouring of condolences at this time from well-meaning Nigerians from all walks of life. It is well with all of us but the killers of my aide must be found.”
