INEC: Supplementary Elections To Hold After Guber, Assembly Polls.
"After the Governorship and State Assembly elections, a date for the supplementary elections will be set."
Two weeks after the presidential and National Assembly elections, there will be gubernatorial and assembly elections.
"The Commission is aware that Declarations and Returns were not submitted in various Senate Districts and Federal Constituencies. Festus Okoye, the national commissioner for INEC, stated in a statement on Thursday that the commission is developing a list of the impacted constituencies.
"After the Governorship and State Assembly elections, a date for the additional elections will be set."
The electoral umpire added that he was prepared to conduct the governor and state assembly elections and insisted that the Commission will not postpone them as some have suggested.
Okoye, the chairman of INEC's Information and Voter Education Committee, continued, "The Commission assures Nigerians that the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2023 will hold as scheduled and that all the processes and procedures leading to the election are being finalized.
Together with the Governorship and State Assembly elections, the Commission will also hold the rescheduled elections in the states of Enugu and Edo on March 11, 2023.
