JUST IN: Fire destroys Nigerian Air Force base in Abuja
On Wednesday morning, there was panic as a fire destroyed a few structures at the Nigerian Air Force Base on Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory.
As of the time of publication, the origin of the fire outbreak that destroyed the military base next to the national headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service is unknown.
However, our reporter can attest to the quick action taken by Federal Fire Service personnel in an effort to put out the fire. Amiola Adebayo, Head of Operations, FFF FCT, responded to a question about the event during a phone conversation with our correspondent by saying that firemen are putting great effort into extinguishing the fire.
"Our men are here putting out the fire, and we're working hard to completely quench the fire," Adebayo remarked, referring to the fire that destroyed a portion of the NAF Base.
I am unable to confirm the reason of the fire outbreak at this time, but we will release a statement once our investigation is complete.
