Management claims that Mohbad passed away without a will.
Claims that the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, left a will have been refuted by the singer's management.
The artist passed away without leaving a will specifying how his possessions would be divided, according to the management.
In a recent interview with TVC, Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, stated that he learned his son had a will.
Joseph Aloba stated in the interview, "I was astonished to learn that the 26-year-old had a will." I don't have anything like that as a father. I have never considered drafting a will.
The youngster, 26, was composing a will. which is not a capital! Thus, they were forced to work along with the attorney to involve him in numerous improper matters.
Aloba further asserted that a thumbprint rather than a signature appeared on the will and that the thumbprints were added after the singer passed away.
"Mohbad is the type of person who would never consider thumbprinting with his hand," he stated. Rather than do it, he will sign. They had to call in a lawyer to conduct their own internal calculations because he was deceased.
"I wasn't convinced by that. He should sign; he cannot thumbprint. As his father, I am unable to express my want to thumbprint. He has signed it, and I have signed it. They had to fingerprint a lot of items there with his palm since they couldn't find him.
But in a statement released on Monday and posted on the late singer's Instagram page, his management refuted the assertion, calling it "false and misleading."
A portion of the message said, "In order to prevent misunderstandings and confusion, we would like to take this opportunity to give a few updates and emphasize important truths.
1. After conducting an investigation, the police authorities have informed that it will take a few months before the autopsy results from samples sent overseas are made public.
2. No one from Mohbad's management team or his attorney has informed the public or any family members of the existence of a will or any other type of thumb-printed document—as has been falsely stated recently.
We want to be clear that, in the event that such a document existed, it would have been properly filed with the Probate Registry. Therefore, we humbly ask that people not spread such inaccurate and deceptive information.
3. On September 12, 2023, all accounts that Imole had ownership or influence over during his lifetime were immediately placed under a Post No Debit order. This order is still in effect today. After the internal conflict is resolved, these accounts will be legally given to the family.
