In preparation for his anticipated La Liga debut later this month, the attacker was seen working out with his Getafe colleagues. Greenwood hasn't participated in full team training in well over a year, but he was recently spotted working out by himself in a park with his father.

Since he appears to be concentrating on strength and conditioning in his training videos, it is exceedingly improbable that Greenwood is match fit.

Getafe also shared a video of supporters cheering Greenwood on as he arrived at the practice facility outside of Madrid.

"We love you Mason Greenwood," was the caption.

After being seen holding his Getafe jersey for the first time since leaving Manchester United, Greenwood finally spoke up yesterday.

The La Liga team has given the 21-year-old attacker a route back to football.

"Hi Getafe fans, it's Mason here," he wrote in a message to the crowd.I'm overjoyed to be here and am eager to get going.
Additionally, Getafe shared a photo of Greenwood holding up the team's blue home uniform on Twitter.

"Mason Greenwood ya esta aqui"—which translates to "Mason Greenwood is here"—was written beneath it.

Just minutes before Friday's deadline for the summer transfer window, the Spanish club made the announcement.

United will pay the majority of his £75,000 weekly salary while he is in Spain and will not be charged a loan fee.

The move allows Greenwood to start reviving his career away from Manchester United, according to a club statement.

Mason and his family will continue to receive assistance from the club throughout this time of change.

Greenwood might wait till Getafe's match against Osasuna on September 17 to make his debut.

Following an internal investigation into his detention, United had already said that Greenwood and the club had "mutually agreed" to part ways.

He was detained in October of last year, but the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew all charges in February.

Greenwood has two more years to go, and the club has the option of extending it by another year if they so want.

If the club had not been able to sell him, they would have been on the hook for over £8 million.

It follows the disclosure of fresh information regarding Greenwood's move to Getafe, including the striker's uniform number and his £75,000 weekly wage.
