Peter Obi Congratulates Nigerian Lady, Ifeoma Amuche, On Becoming China's Best Graduating Student
According to online reports, Nigerian Ifeoma Amuche was the best graduating student at South West University in Chongqing, China, where she studied Chinese Language and Literature. And, out of 9500 international students, she was chosen to give a speech on behalf of all graduates.
In response to this occurrence, the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, thanked the lady via Twitter, saying
I am delighted to congratulate Miss Ifeoma Amuche, a Nigerian student who was just named Best Graduating Student at South West University in China. To achieve such an intellectual feat and stand out from the crowd, it takes unfathomable hard work and perseverance.
You have given honor to our country and established yourself on the global scene with your remarkable academic achievements. As a firm believer in education, I know that there are no boundaries to how far one may advance by taking their education seriously.
If we make the correct educational investments, every Nigerian youth would be able to reach their full potential. Your excellent success demonstrates unequivocally that we must make every effort to educate the girl child, recognizing that excellence knows no gender.
