Rail difficulties will be addressed, the transport minister promises.

While conceding the need for reform, the minister claimed that President Bola Tinubu of Renewed Hope is the driving force behind his initiatives.

Additionally, he said that the Nigeria Railway Corporation's managing director might be disciplined for the railroad operations between Abuja and Kaduna.

When the minister unexpectedly paid a visit to Abuja's Idu Train station, he made this announcement.

The minister personally examined the coaches while there and found a number of problems that require immediate correction. Notably, some of the restrooms were discovered to be broken.

"It is out of a desire to achieve President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Renewed Hope's agenda," he stated. As a result, they will be able to put some of the preparations in place when your visit is scheduled because they will be aware that you will be there.

So, as I have personally witnessed, seeing is believing. I looked over the buses. Some of the restroom facilities are broken.

The minister also mentioned that for the previous five months, security escorts had been complaining to him about unpaid allowances. "I received a complaint from the security escorts that their allowances had not been paid for the previous five months, and I am pleased that the MD of NRC would brief the ministry on Tuesday. So, if he shows up, I will be aware that the escalators and lifts are broken, which makes it extremely difficult for people who are elderly or crippled to go by train.

The minister emphasized that "he would explain why disciplinary action wouldn't be taken against him."

Alkali went on to describe his strategy for quickly overhauling the railway services, assuring the public that the escalators and lifts will be fixed and working within the next 48 hours.

He continued by pledging his commitment to finding a solution to the unresolved payment problems for security escorts in order to guarantee that their allowances are paid on Monday.

"I'll see to it that the lift is operational and the escalators are fixed within the next 48 hours.

"I will also see to it that the escorts' unpaid allowances are reimbursed on Monday.

"I will coordinate with the Ministry of Defense to make sure that unmanned area vehicles are maintained so that they have protection from the air.

"The coaches lack grooming. The chairs need cleaning. Therefore, we must make sure that all of these items are implemented.
