The south-west zone of the National Union of Road Transport Workers is prepared to bring all disgruntled member states back together and make amends.
Chief Yemi Ogunfiade, an elder of the union in the region, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
"The effort to bring member states together is essential. Out of six states in the South West, the union lost five to parks management committees. As a result, the union has lost support in the region I represent. The elders and former leaders who cast a vote of no confidence against the union's national president, Tajudeen Baruwa, in Osogbo at the southwest zonal headquarters of the union, have not changed their minds.
According to him, "the union decided that Tajudeen Agbede should represent the zone and finish the four years that have been allotted to the southwest."
