Chinese national gets death sentence from court for killing girlfriend in Nigeria
Frank Geng-Quangrong, a Chinese national, has been convicted by the Kano State High Court to death by hanging for the murder of Ummukalthuum Buhari, his lover.
Remember that after a misunderstanding, Quangrong is said to have killed Buhari, his former girlfriend.
According to PUNCH Online, Quangrong denied killing Buhari on purpose and begged Justice Sunusi Ado Ma'aji of the Kano State High Court to balance justice and mercy. He was charged of criminal homicide in Buhari's death.
Quangrong stated in his testimony on Tuesday that he stabbed his girlfriend in September 2022 out of self-defense after she reportedly grabbed his testicles.
Ouangrong claimed, "I stabbed Ummulkhulsum in self-defense after she grabbed my testes; I didn't kill her on purpose."
