Haaland of Norway will miss the Euro qualifiers due to a groin injury.
Due to a groin injury, Norway's renowned scorer Erling Haaland will miss the nation's upcoming Euro qualifiers against Spain and Georgia, the Norwegian FA announced Tuesday.
Haaland, who recently scored a hat-trick and five goals for his team Manchester City against Leipzig in the Champions League and FA Cup, recently complained of groin strain after the Burnley game.
According to the Norwegian Football Federation, Haaland left the national team's training camp in Marbella, Spain, to visit his Premier League club for further medical attention. Team physician Ola Sand was reported as stating in a release, "We believed it was only a discomfort that would pass by Saturday, but after tests and inspections yesterday it is apparent that he will not be ready for the games against Spain and Georgia.
In their opening Euro 2024 qualifying group A matchups, Norway will travel to Malaga, Spain, on Saturday, and Batumi, Georgia, on Tuesday.
