In the UK, Canada, and France, Davido's tracks are the most streamed - Spotify.
According to online music streaming service Spotify, the countries with the highest Davido song streams include the UK, Nigeria, Canada, and France.
Songs by Davido were included on over 10 million user-generated playlists on Spotify, according to a statement released on Tuesday by Spotify's Artiste and Label Partnerships Manager for West Africa, Victor Okpala.
While the afrobeat singer creates music that captures an elusive, exciting spirit, and fans all over the world have linked since his first releases, in his opinion, Davido's fan appeal is hardly in question.
Davido is among the largest exports of afrobeats, according to data from Spotify.
Even though Omo Baba Olowo (OBO) is unquestionably well-liked at home, the United States represents his music's single-largest market, with the vast bulk of his plays coming from outside of Africa. The top four nations where his music is streamed are the UK, Nigeria, Canada, and France.
Davido is one of the genuinely international icons of afrobeats, and he added, "We are honored to play our role in sharing his work and ethos with his devoted followers in Nigeria and around the world."
According to Okpala, Spotify also advertised Davido's "Timeless" album on a billboard in Times Square, New York, introducing the music to a global audience in one of the most recognizable public places in the entire globe.
He claimed that both artists and fans had welcomed the new release, with many praising Davido's capacity to maintain coherence over a body of work that features a variety of partners.
"Spotify is committed to highlighting the best African content and talent, as well as giving artists a platform to interact with and expand their fan communities internationally.
The immense power and access that streaming provides, together with Davido's talent, are both evidenced by his global success, according to Okpala.
