LAGOS STATE: Voting commenced at Tinubu’s polling unit
Around 8:30 am, voting started in Bola Tinubu's polling place, PU 085, Ward 3, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission's Assistant Presiding Officer Unit III, Adebola Adebiyi, announced the start of the election and stated that voting would end at 2:30 pm.
According to the electoral rules, she read out the voting procedure. She urged voters to scrupulously follow the laws and regulations while displaying the BVAS and an empty ballot box.
At 7:30 am, INEC representatives showed up at the voting location.
At the voting location, our reporter saw a lot of security.
To provide proper security, representatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Civil Defense, and the Department of State Security Services were seen at the PU.
By 8:19 in the morning, Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, also stopped by the PU for inspection.
