On Friday evening, election day, a Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps van carrying poll materials from Abuja to Lagos collapsed.
According to reports, the incident happened on the Giri Roundabout bridge in Abuja. Also, the truck was transporting NSCDC employees to Lagos.
People are seen helping to clean up papers that appear to be election materials from the ground in a social media video.
One of the passengers suffered a brain injury, according to a man who spoke on camera. He also said that some of the passengers were hurt.
He did, however, acknowledge that a few senior NSCDC employees had been relocated.
"Those in the back hit the wood when the accident occurred, and one guy in front received a cut on their head," he remarked. I'm not sure if he'll be able to live. Afterwards we made an assistance request. Nonetheless, some senior officers were transferred to Gwarindada.
It was unclear whether there had been any casualties while this story was being written.
