R. Kelly receives a new 20-year sentence for child sex offenses
R&B artist R. Kelly was found guilty of child pornography and enticing a minor last year, and he was given a 20-year prison term on Thursday.
Robert Kelly, also known as R. Kelly, was convicted of child pornography and enticement of a minor and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Evidence was enough to convince the jury to find him guilty, with 19 of those 20-year served concurrently with his earlier sentence. Robert Kelly was a serial sexual predator who targeted young girls and went to great lengths to conceal his abuse. The father-of-three remained silent from almost the entirety of the sentencing hearing and also refused to speak on his own behalf.
