The government issues a traffic alert for the third Mainland Bridge that will be closed for maintenance.
The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has stated that the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed to traffic in order to start corrective repairs on the bridge's problematic areas. The bridge will be closed for two consecutive Sundays, September 17 and 24, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., as part of the repair being done by the Lagos Public Works Corporation, or LPWC, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Works.
