Tinubu hails Alake of Egba land as he clocks 80

"Your Royal Majesty's track record of service to our nation has been inspiring, exemplary, and commendable," Tinubu said in a statement titled "President Tinubu rejoices with the Alake of Egba Land, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, at 80," which was written by his special adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The President sent a personal letter to the Alake of Egba Land in which he expressed his warmest congratulations on the occasion of the Alake's 80th birthday, which will be celebrated on September 14, 2023.With you and your family, the Council of Chiefs, the sons and daughters of Egba Land, as well as friends and associates from the public and commercial sectors, I join in the delight of so many Nigerians in celebrating another milestone.

"Your Royal Majesty's track record of service to our country has been inspiring, exemplary, and respectable," the citation reads. "Most notably, it begins with your illustrious and meritorious tenure in the military, during which you won several decorations.

According to Tinubu, the monarch's wisdom and charismatic leadership have brought peace and progress to his domain since assuming the throne of his forebears in 2005, and the influence has been felt at both the state and national levels.
Assuring the royal father that the nation would continue to value and rely on his wisdom, insight, and leadership to lead Nigeria to new heights, the Nigerian leader said, "all while acknowledging your sacrifices and selfless service."

He said, "I pray that the Almighty God would give Your Royal Majesty many more years of happiness, health, and strength to carry on serving the country we adore.
