UEFA will raise compensation to clubs not participating in European competitions.

The agreement is in line with a new distribution mechanism that UEFA unveiled on Wednesday.

The Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League revenue earned by UEFA and European football's regulatory body will be split seven percent among teams not participating in the competitions under the new format for the 2024–2027 cycle.

It is intended to represent an increase from 4%.  The organization that speaks for domestic leagues, the European Leagues Association, released the following statement: "The European Leagues Association welcomes today's announcement of UEFA to enhance solidarity payments for non-participating teams for the future 2024–27 UEFA Club Competitions (UCC) cycle.

The implementation of a more equitable revenue sharing scheme in UCC has been strongly demanded by the European Leagues and its members over the years in order to preserve the competitive balance of local league tournaments.

"Today's announcement will help all clubs in Europe maintain their competitiveness on and off the field while continuing to invest in youth and talent development. The share for non-participating clubs will increase to 7% (up from the current 4%) of the projected annual €4.4 billion of UCC global income.
