Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, promised Nigerians on Wednesday that he would be the nation's chief servant and would give the country his all.

"I will be at your service; I will not be your leader. Soon after being named the winner of the presidential election, Tinubu made the following statement at the APC Presidential Campaign Council headquarters in Abuja: "I will work with you and make Nigeria a wonderful country.

"I applaud the Nigerian people for continuing to support our democracy. I promise to govern all Nigerians fairly. To build a country we can be proud of, I will be in sync with your objectives, channel your energies, and make use of your talents.

This occurred as he also urged his rivals and the opposition to support him in his effort to create the nation he wished.
"I offer the hand of friendship to my fellow candidates, former vice president Atiku, former governor Kwankwaso, former governor Obi, and all others. This election season was fiercely competitive.

I have the utmost regard for you.

Let's collaborate and get things done. In his acceptance address in Abuja, Tinubu made the commitment to collaborate with the audience.
His vice-president-elect Kashim Shettima, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress Abdullahi Adamu, and APC governors were also present.

The former governor of Lagos State went on to praise Nigerians, especially those who cast ballots for opposition parties, stating that their action contributed to the country's growing democracy.
Regardless of your party affiliation—Batified, Atikulated, Obidient, Kwankwasiyya, or any other—he proclaimed, "You voted for a better, more hopeful country, and I thank you for your participation and commitment to our democracy.

"You opted to place your trust in the democratic vision of a Nigeria established on shared prosperity and one fostered by the virtues of unity, justice, peace and tolerance. In Nigeria, there is new hope.
According to reports, the Independent National Electoral Commission formally recognized Tinubu, the APC candidate for president in this weekend's election, as the winner early on Wednesday.

After receiving 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election, Tinubu, 70, was named the next president-elect.

At the International Collation Center in Abuja, Tinubu was declared the victor by INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
