Arsenal-  Mikel Arteta is attempting to add Dominic Calvert-Lewin to his team in order to prepare for the Champions League.

Only two pure strikers are available to Mikel Arteta at the moment: Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. But, this season's injuries to both players have left the Spaniard lacking in attack.

The Arsenal manager is eager to add another genuine No. 9 to his squad, even though Leandro Trossard, who joined in January, has the capacity to lead the line, as previously mentioned by Arteta.

Moreover, Calvert-Lewin has become a target, according to Football Insider.

When the season is over, the Gunners are hopeful the 26-year-old will be available for a discounted price, especially if Everton is down to the Championship.

According to reports, Arteta is a fan of the striker and wants the team to make a move for him when the summer transfer window opens.

Despite Calvert-history Lewin's of injuries, this is true.

Just 12 appearances have been made by the Everton star so far this year.

He missed the club's first seven games of the current season while dealing with a hamstring problem, and he missed the start of the Premier League season with a knee injury.

Folarin Balogun, a recent graduate of the Hale End academy, is another option for Arteta to strengthen his attack.

The 21-year-old is now having success with Reims in France.

One of Ligue 1's most prolific players, Balogun has 17 goals in 28 league outings for the Red and Whites.
