Bayern may sell Mane after fining him £260,000 for punching Sane.
After Sadio Mane attacked teammate Leroy Sane during a heated argument last week, Bayern Munich reportedly issued him a sizable fine and are now eager to offload him this summer.
In the dressing room, Mane allegedly lashed out at Sane after the German team's 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Tuesday, prompting the intervention of other players, according to the Daily Mail.
After the incident, Sane sustained a lip bruise, and Mane was pulled off the team for Bayern's Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim on Saturday and had some of his £17 million salary deducted.
Now that the severity of the penalty has been made public, Bayern has levied the biggest fine in company history.
Our knowledge indicates that it is far more than €300,000 (£260,000), making it a very, very sensitive fine for Mane. Florian Plettenberg, a Bayern expert, told Sky Germany.
Thomas Tuchel has only managed two victories in his first five games since taking over for Julian Nagelsmann last month, and Mane was absent from Bayern's 1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim. Mane will be back in the mix for Bayern's rematch with City on Wednesday as they attempt to stage a stunning turnaround to go to the semi-finals, according to the former Chelsea manager.
However, the Senegalese attacker only started the first leg on the bench, and it appears Tuchel is not a fan of the former Liverpool star, despite Pep Guardiola's suggestion that the confrontation between Mane and Sane may energise Bayern and give them an edge.
Less than a year after joining Bayern, Mane's days at the club may be numbered as Plettenberg claims the Bundesliga's heavyweights are already prepared to trade him. Mane is far from guaranteed to start in Munich.
According to what he had heard, Bayern will do anything to get rid of Sadio Mane in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel has no ambitions for Mane from a sports perspective since he doesn't match his system. This is my knowledge. The player is held in high regard inside.
