Chelsea could rename Stamford Bridge stadium

Todd Boehly, an American millionaire, and Behdad Eghbali, the club's co-controlling owner, are committed to having the team play in one of the world's top stadiums by 2030. The Blues now have three possibilities for their home stadium, it is understood.

One is to begin construction on a brand-new site.

One of them is demolishing their current home and starting over, while the other is just redeveloping Stamford Bridge.

We already discussed how the most likely alternative is to demolish their West London stadium and replace it with a brand-new one on the current site.

The Daily Mail now asserts that "Allianz are interested in a long-term sponsorship deal" that would include the restored home in their "family of stadiums".

After the previous contract with Three expired, talks have been ongoing for the German insurance company to become Chelsea's next shirt sponsor.

Now, it appears that Stake, an online casino, has prevailed in that pursuit.

According to this recent update, Allianz was considering a shirt or sleeve agreement, but they also "sounded out" the club on a potential stadium naming arrangement once a decision has been made regarding their future home.

A "major" and "long-term" package is also mentioned, with sources telling them that Allianz is "seriously considering" it.

The business has so far refrained from commenting on the discussions with Chelsea.

The Allianz Arena, with seating for 70,000, is home to German powerhouse Bayern Munich.

Additionally, the corporation has naming rights agreements with six additional stadiums, including those in Sydney, Minnesota, Nice, Vienna, Turin, and Sao Paulo.
