Do your worst, Fani-Kayode tells the British ambassador once more.

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, confronted Ben Llewellyn-Jones, the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, once more after the official criticized him for remarks he made during the just-completed election campaign in Lagos State.

On Sunday, Llewellyn-Jones bemoaned the failure of the ruling APC to disassociate itself from Fani-divisive Kayode's remarks, to which the former aviation minister responded in a series of tweets on Sunday night by saying he wouldn't be scared by a "British civil servant."

Fani-Kayode, who is also a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, dared the British envoy to do his worst in a new tweet on Monday morning, stating he had no fear of anyone.

Let me to add the following to my earlier personal response to the young Englishman, he wrote. I wonder who this odd little British diplomat is who thinks he can instruct us on the ideal ethnic makeup and government of Lagos State.

They aren't intended to meddle in our personal matters, show bias, or instruct us on what to do or how to do it. Students are expected to observe quietly and voice any objections or arguments they may have in a private setting. They are unable to enter the political fray.

Foreign ambassadors shouldn't instruct people on how to vote, who to vote for, or even what deity to worship, he continued.

Fani-Kayode stated, "That odd little bald man with slooping shoulders at the British Embassy has truly got a nerve. I challenge the British envoy to do his worst. I'll address this issue formally. His diplomatic immunity is conditional and not completely unassailable. He must follow our laws as a result.

"As for his threats, I implore him to utterly fail. You don't own us as slaves. Nigeria is a sovereign, independent country. We are not a colony anymore. Hell with him and those who are licking his feet and encouraging him. I am FFK, and I have no respect for anyone or anything.

The British government's hands, he continued, were also not clean because their "strong economy was based on the blood, sweat, and tears of Irish, African, and Indian slaves."

"The dictation era is long past. They will be unsuccessful in their attempts to harm or change our nation. Whether people like it or not, Bola Tinubu won a free and fair election, and on May 29, 2023, he will be sworn in.

"Those who want to impose an ING on our country and then wage a civil war to split it apart and destroy her will not win. Nigeria will remain united, peaceful, prosperous, and successful for many years to come. Democracy will also be alive and well in our country, he added. Remember that the UK Minister of State for Development and Africa, Andrew Mitchell MP, had stated last week that he was willing to take action against anyone who participated in or incited electoral violence during the just-completed general elections.

In a statement made yesterday, Llewellyn-Jones stated that the UK was already compiling the names of the offenders and will implement consequences, "including prohibiting persons from acquiring UK visas or imposing sanctions under our human rights sanctions regime."
