Elections 2023: In response to allegations of voter attacks in Lagos, Asa declares tribalism to be abhorrent.

The seasoned performer Asa has replied to accusations of violence and tribalism that took place during the presidential and national assembly elections in some communities of Lagos State.
There have been claims that thugs interfered with the actual election on February 25 by destroying ballots and even grabbing people's phones to prevent them from recording.

Recall that there have been several internet comments that are tribal and discriminatory during the voting process. Some internet posts also made the assertion that some voters had experienced physical assault at various polling locations.

A man was shown in a viral video advising people to leave if they don't intend to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The singer claimed that her vote yesterday was peaceful in response to the numerous depressing stories that are currently dominating the media. Nonetheless, Asa emphasized that she is grieved as a result of the attacks in Lagos. Tribalism is awful, she continued.

"I arrived my polling station at 6h30 yesterday, voted at 13h45 peacefully. Saddened that people were attacked around Lagos! Tribalism is disgusting," she wrote.
