Naira Marley: I am not responsible for DJ Splash's mental instability.
Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, the embattled Nigerian musician and Marlian Records henchman, has denied being responsible for DJ Splash's mental instability.
He also dispelled rumors that he (DJ Splash) was formerly signed to Marlian Records.
Since the death of his former signee, Mohbad, the'soapy' crooner has been tongue-lashed on several claims.
Among these allegations was that DJ Splash went insane after consuming narcotics provided by the Marlian team.
DJ Splash's mother claimed in a recent video uploaded by actress Iyabo Ojo during her visit that her son has been emotionally disturbed since leaving Naira Marley's house.
Marley, though, rejected all of the charges in an interview with Reno Omokri on Thursday.
He claims that DJ Splash was never legally signed to his music label, and that he is not to blame for the DJ's mental illness. He also stated that the DJ had left Marlian Records before his mental problems began.
"DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music," he explained. I know him as a DJ, but he's never deejayed with me at a gig or anything; he's not my DJ. They only granted him the title because I had a photo of him.
He also stated that he had no idea how the DJ's mental illness began, and that he (DJ Splash) was no longer involved with Marlian Records at the time.
"When whatever happened to him, he was not at my house, and I do not understand where all this is coming from," he said.
