Five are missing and ten injured in the Russian attack on Ukraine
Concurrent Russian strikes on three settlements in the eastern Donetsk region injured ten persons, including a toddler; five more were reported missing under debris.
Ukraine made this revelation on Thursday.
The industrial region, which the Kremlin claims it seized last year, has seen some of the worst combat of Russia's nearly two-year invasion.
Igor Klymenko, the interior minister of Ukraine, reported that six S-300 rockets were fired by Russian forces on Novogrodivka, Myrnograd, and Pokrovsk.
"10 persons, including four children, were injured as a result of the shelling. Klymenko posted on social media that "five more people are being searched (for) under the rubble." Klymenko said the six-month-old child was injured in Pokrovsk together with boys who were thirteen and sixteen years old.
In the backyard of a home inhabited by a family with two kids, one of the shells burst. The family was buried beneath the debris and the house's walls and roof were demolished as a result of the shelling, he continued.
East of the three villages in the frontline town of Avdiivka, there has been some of the bloodiest fighting in recent weeks.
Large portions of the Donetsk area have been under the control of Russian soldiers and its proxies since 2014, when massive pro-democracy rallies in Ukraine sparked a separatist insurgency in the east.
