Hilda Baci congratulates Irish chef Alan Fisher for breaking the world record.

Fisher from Ireland cooked for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan, according to Guinness World Records.

Baci, the former record holder, praised Alan on her X account on Tuesday in response to Fisher's triumph.

"Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher!" she wrote. 119 hours and 57 minutes is an incredible accomplishment, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!"
Alan established a new record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), clocking in at 119 hours and 57 minutes.

This accomplishment outlasted the previous record set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci by more than 24 hours.

Alan also set a new record for the longest baking marathon (individual), clocking in at 47 hours and 21 minutes, beating Wendy Sandner of the United States, who had a total of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
Alan took on both objectives simultaneously, spending nearly 160 hours in the kitchen with only a little more than a day of recuperation in between.
