The music producer expressed his views as a guest on the Zero Conditions podcast, saying that he doesn't think most individuals who claim to have suffered actually did. He said, remembering his modest beginnings, "I remember it like it was yesterday... I recall sitting on the bench at Ajegunle when my mother was frying akara, and any large men who passed by in their Peugeot 504 or Mercedes 230 or whatever came to buy akara. Don Jazzy continued by saying that now that he had achieved success, it was impossible for him to meet someone without offering some sort of assistance or giving back to the community.

The music entrepreneur claims that he recognizes himself in everyone who is in need and is moved to offer assistance. He stated, "I have an issue with people meeting me and not being affected.
