Is Rashford the hottest forward in Europe?
Rashford has scored 16 goals in 17 games since the World Cup; goal spree, positioning, and team tactics are examined; comparisons with forwards from Europe's top five leagues are made; the extent of improvement is measured; and combinations with teammates are made clear.
Erik ten Hag praised Marcus Rashford as one of the best forwards in Europe before Manchester United's match against Barcelona at the Nou Camp. He also gave the in-form striker some advice on how to keep scoring more goals: "I don't know [if his scoring will stop], but he has to go from game to game and during the week do the right things." I believe that we have to push them as a manager and coaching staff, but ultimately it comes from the player. The scoring will stop when he loses concentration. "He has such a wide range of talents, and I believe there may be room for even more. Because he can score with his left, right, and head, he will even score more goals when he performs well."
One week later, the 25-year-old has added three more goals in only two games. "There's always something to push toward," Rashford remarked following the Leicester encounter. I have no desire to slack off. I'm constantly trying to advance and get better.
Gary Neville, a sports analyst for Sky Sports, added: "Rashford has been fantastic. No matter which position he plays in—left or center—defenders appear to be where he wants them to be.
