The motorcycle part of the Sokoto Central market is now negatively impacted by the fire.
The fire erupted early this morning, according to an eyewitness who spoke with our correspondent, but its source is still unknown at this time.
But according to a different report, the Sokoto Central market fire originated near the motorcycle section at a trash site.
Shehu Muhammad, the chairman of the Motorcycles Marketers Association, responded by saying that because the fire was still blazing, they were unable to estimate how many motorcycles had been destroyed.
We are unable to estimate the number of motorcycles that have been destroyed by the fire at this time because it is still quite hot.
However, because they were unable to arrive in time, many people lost both their stores and their motorcycles when the fire broke out at around six in the morning.
"However, firefighters from the federal and state agencies are battling right now, and I know it will take some time before they can put out the whole thing," the man stated.
