Fatinoye: A court orders the detention of alleged murderers for 60 days

The accused murderers of Mr. and Mrs. Kehinde Fatinoye and their son, Oreoluwa, have been remanded in custody till 2022 by a Magistrate Court II in the capital city of Ogun State, Abeokuta.

Fatinoye: A court orders the detention of alleged murderers for 60 days

A Magistrate Court II sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, has remanded the alleged killers of Mr and Mrs Kehinde Fatinoye and their son, Oreoluwa, in 2022.It was reported that Lekan Adekanbi, the prime suspect in the gruesome killing of a couple had confessed that he and his gang members — Ahmed Odetola and Waheed Adeniyi — slaughtered the family after forcing them to transfer N1,102,000.Adekanbi, the driver to the wife of the late Kehinde, said he organised his fellow cultists to rob the family because they refused to grant his request for a loan.
 The alleged killers of Mr and Mrs Kehinde Fatinoye and their son, Oreoluwa, have been remanded in prison. Magistrate Court II sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, has remanded them in 2022. Chief Magistrate Esther Idowu, in her ruling on Wednesday, ordered that the suspects should be remanded in prison for 60 days, pending legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecution.The court ruled that the trio be remanded at the Oba correctional centre while their accomplices, Temitope Fadairo Temitope and Adenike Adekanbi Adenike, were sent to the Ibara Correctional Centre.The court also ruled that the buyers of the slain couple's car, Owolaja Anuoluwapo and Usman Azeez, be also remanded at the Oba prison for the same period of 60 days.
