Super Falcons will be hosted by Remi Tinubu before the FIFA World Cup.

Prior to the Super Falcons' departure for the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will attend the send-forth dinner of the team with other high government officials.

Super Falcons will be hosted by Remi Tinubu before the FIFA World Cup.

The FIFA Women's World Cup is slated to take place from July 20 to August 20 over a one-month span.
The dinner will be place on Saturday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, according to a statement released on Thursday by the NFF's head of communications, Ademola Olajire.
"Ismaila Abubakar, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, as well as other top sports officials, are expected," the statement reads.

"The rank and file of the NFF, led by the President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, and the General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, are expected together with a sizable contingent of the team, as well as technical and administrative staff.

In addition to football stakeholders, corporate leaders, diplomats, and members of the diplomatic corps will attend the event at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel.

The nine-time African champions will leave Nigerian soil on Sunday for a 15-day camping trip in Australia before reporting to camp for the competition, which runs from July 20 to August 20.

At the finals, Nigeria will play Canada on July 21 at Melbourne's Rectangular Stadium before facing Australia on July 27 and the Republic of Ireland on July 31 at Lang Park in Brisbane.

According to NAN, the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand will be the largest ever because 32 teams will be participating—the same number that competed in the men's championships in Qatar last year.It is also the first FIFA senior competition to ever be hosted by two nations from two separate confederations, namely Australia from the Asian confederation and New Zealand from Oceania.

Together with Marta of Brazil and Christine Sinclair of Canada, Onome Ebi, the captain of Nigeria, will be among the tournament's oldest players at the age of 40.

The three female athletes will participate in their sixth FIFA Women's World Cup competition.

The Australian High Commission will host the Falcons to a supper, courtesy of the Ag. High Commissioner, Her Excellency Leanne Johnston, the NFF reports, 24 hours before to the Send-Forth at the Transcorp Hilton.

The Super Falcons are in Group 'B' with Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland
