The purpose of the scheduled week-long power outage, according to the statement, is to allow the electrical distribution company to repair the panel circuit breakers at Okoloba.
This is to notify our esteemed customers that we will be replacing the outdated 11KV Indoor Panel Circuit Breakers at Okoloba ISS starting tomorrow, Monday, December 4, 2023, and finishing on or before December 11th, 2023, according to a portion of the announcement.
"PTI, Airport Road, Sapele Road, Effurun, and the surrounding Warri area are among the impacted areas, in that order.
"We appreciate your patience as BEDC works to provide you with improved service.
Only last week, it was believed, did Warri and Effurun cities return from about two weeks of BEDC blackout.
